Litho Print

When you need high speed, consistent print results, lithography printing has been the chosen method for years. Here at B&D both our Heidelberg Speedmaster XL 75s produce vivid, reliable prints at up to 15,000 sheets per hour, 24 hours per day.

The Heidelberg AXIS colour control systems mean reliable and repeatable colour consistency is achieved on press, coupled with a GMG colour prepress management system and on average each of our printers have over 20 years of print experience means we can guarantee accuracy and uniformity on every job.

Our litho presses can print on to very thin substrates from 60gsm up to 500gsm (and up to 800mic). This allows us to produce a multitude of products from the thinnest leaflets used in the pharmaceutical trade to thick packaging material. Paper & board are our usual substrates, but we have printed plastic, fabric labels, translucent and metallised sheets with ease.

With our presses having up to 5 print units plus a coating unit, it means we can use specially mixed Pantone inks to match thousands of colours perfectly on press. Any spot colours including metallic & dayglo inks can be produced whilst printing the usual 4 colours process to create precise, consistent results. We can also apply special coatings to most substrates, varying from gloss or matt finishes, to glitter based or anti-bacterial coatings.

We can also use inline die cutting technology allowing us to print and die cut jobs at the same time avoiding the need for slower, more expensive die cutting after the job has been printed.
