Litho Print
When you need high speed, consistent print results, lithography printing has been the chosen method for years. Here at B&D both our Heidelberg Speedmaster XL 75s produce vivid, reliable prints at up to 15,000 sheets per hour, 24 hours per day.
Our litho presses can print on to very thin substrates from 60gsm up to 500gsm (and up to 800mic). This allows us to produce a multitude of products from the thinnest leaflets used in the pharmaceutical trade to thick packaging material. Paper & board are our usual substrates, but we have printed plastic, fabric labels, translucent and metallised sheets with ease…
Digital Print
Digital printing offers high-quality results for customers needing shorter run lengths. With lower make-ready times and set-up costs compared with litho presses, digital is the cost-effective option for jobs needing less than a thousand copies.
Our Canon imagePRESS V1350 produces full-colour work with sharp detail and strong colour consistency from the first sheet to the last. It handles brochures, booklets, catalogues, and marketing materials on stocks up to 500gsm, letting us produce premium-feeling print without moving the job to litho. A wide array of promotional material can be run whether you need a short run of brochures to show your products or a small batch of flyers or postcards to promote your next event, it will be produced at the highest quality whilst still being great value.
Commercial
Business cards, letterheads, compliment slips, brochures, catalogues, leaflets, flyers, manuals, point-of-sale, and direct mail. All made in-house at our Lancashire factory, in runs from 250 to 50,000.
You get a dedicated account handler who knows your brand and stock preferences, so repeat orders run faster. Each job goes on the right press: digital for short runs and personalised work, litho for volume and colour-critical pieces. All finishing happens in the same building.

Variable Data
Variable data printing personalises every sheet beyond simple name and address fields. With XMPie software in our studio, we tailor text, images, codes, or whole layouts to each recipient based on the data you supply.
Full-colour personalisation runs on our Canon imagePRESS V1350. Black-only personalisation runs on our high speed mono press, well-suited to large transactional jobs and high-volume mailings. The result is targeted print with stronger response rates than generic mailings, backed by Royal Mail Mailmark accreditation for postage savings.
Wide Format & Point of Sale
For banners, posters, magnetic signs, and self-adhesive labels, our Mimaki CJV150-130 prints up to 1,361mm wide at resolutions up to 1,440 dpi. Substrates include vinyl, banner material, paper, and adhesive media for indoor and outdoor use.
Point-of-sale in smaller formats, including shelf strips, talkers, wobblers, and counter cards, runs on our Canon imagePRESS V1350 at sheet sizes up to 330mm x 762mm. Short retail runs are economical without the set-up cost of large-format reel-fed alternatives, and finishing (cutting, creasing, laminating, encapsulating) is handled in the same building.
Bespoke
For jobs outside a standard template, we work from your concept through to finished piece. Die-cut shapes, unusual folds, mixed stocks, specialist coatings, or formats built for one brief only.
Every bespoke job is set up individually, which keeps small custom runs viable. Our in-house studio works on feasibility and artwork, print runs on either the digital or litho presses depending on substrate and run length, and finishing (creasing, perforating, laminating, numbering, encapsulating, wire and perfect binding) happens in the same building. Finishing
Every printed job needs finishing, and we keep it all in-house. Folding, saddle-stitching, cutting, collating, lamination, encapsulation, creasing, perforating, numbering, and drilling are handled on dedicated kit run by an experienced finishing team.
For binding, we offer wire binding for wiro-bound documents and reports, and perfect binding for thicker books, brochures, and catalogues. With print and finishing under one roof, you get a single quote, a single contact, and faster turnaround than handing work between suppliers.
